Lil' Cupcake - Jilliane

Way back in 1991, a little girl with coke bottle glasses and bangs that started about 10 inches from her forehead and two front teeth that were outta control (that would be me...) was introduced to a little girl with Sally Jessy Raphael glasses and a Sally Jessy Raphael haircut only more.....perm. (that would be Sam)

15 years later they stood next to each other at their weddings (see mine below) and about three years after that Sally Jessy Sam's little girl Jilliane stood in the same spot her mom and I did before my wedding while I took her picture. Que "Wind Beneath My Wings" (cause thats our jam - from Beaches)

First she had to earn her keep with a little light yard work.

Exploring all that can be found in the driveway....

Shocked....or eating a leaf...one or the other

Momma found an inch worm :)

Cracking herself up!

Love you, Sam!
(and of course Jillian, too)

Hope you enjoy a SWEET weekend!

Cupcake In The Oven - Barrett and Nesikah Maternity

A couple months back I had the pleasure of shooting Nesikah and Barrett's maternity session and let me tell you these people are pros. Headed out to a park in Laurel and while Nesikah was very sad the fountain was for some reason not running. I think we rose above and got some great shots anyway.

Gorgeous...loved the dress. Great color and not even maternity.
Yep Nesikah is that adorable that she can make a non maternity dress look this fabulous 8 months pregnant.

The man behind the belly ;)

To know Barrett is to know his love of the King of Pop.
I requested some moves....
See? These people are models I tell you.

Found a great little picnic cove that had the best late day sunlight filtering through.

Preview :)

More yummy sun (and love)

This series of Barrett talking to "his boy" was hilarious and sweet...
The joy and excitement of these future parents in this shot deserved a closer look.

Nesikah and Barrett hired me for both "In The Oven" and "Fresh Out of The Oven" sessions. So after our shoot Nesikah and I were emailing back and forth and I reminded her to tell Aden that I was going on vacation to the Outer Banks for a week and that he was to sit tight until I got back. She said she would remind him and it shouldn't be a big deal because he wasn't due to make an appearance until July 30th.
Guess who came early!
If you guessed the baby in the above belly then you are correct. We had no sooner reached Carolina and out popped Aden.
No worries his Fresh Out of The Oven shoot is already done.
And I can't wait to share those images soon!

Stay Sweet!

Lil' Cupcake - Colton's 3 (well...4) Month Session

Just got back from a wonderful vacation with family and friends in the Outer Banks.
While I will forever be a Jersey Girl that loves OCNJ - I must say that Corolla, NC takes a close second.
Hope to share some pics soon.
~~~~~~
Back to the cupcakes.
You must remember Colton.
Adorable face...infectious smile...
Well if not, you can see his newborn session here and his baptism here
He's back... and laying on a dresser (that may or may not have gotten wet
in the process of capturing this shot).
Anytime you surround anything with a bunch of stuffed animals
I can not help but think of the scene in E.T.
Flying the friendly skies... Air Daddy
Super Colton!
Found his toes...
Colton has two furry brothers. Cabo (who can be spotted here. Hint: Check the pillows) and Bentley a slightly larger K9 who likes to get involved as well. Love that he snuck in there while they were smooching and Lauren and Colton's looks of confusion.
(P.S. This only further illustrates my Dr. Doolittle theory.)
Hello? Anyone out there?
Blue Steel Baby
Hope you a enjoying an incredibly SWEET summer!
Fresh Out of The Oven - Kelsey
As promised here is Roy and Mel's new bundle of joy, Kelsey.
Kelsey arrived this past May right after her cousin Cole (see his newborn post here)
Whenever Kelsey wasn't feeling the love for the camera Roy flipped her over, patted her back and she was happy as a clam. Father knows best. What a face!
Matching her alligator friend
This was not her momma's favorite look - but honestly anyone that looks
this adorable cross eyed needs to be shared with the world wide web.
Ok don't think I am nuts...but I am something of an animal whisperer. It's true.
My presence seems to calm the furry friends of the universe. This cat worked the camera (and I do my little turn on the catwalk...on the catwalk). Sat very nicely for tons of shots and gave me different poses. And it isn't the first time. Remember these well behaved pups. The next Dr. Doolittle I tell you....
Sleepy Girl... Smushy lips
Stay Sweet!
Next up Colton's 3 Month Session
