Cape May Cupcakes - Lambert Family Session

Ah... The Lamberts. If you don't want to join this family by the end of the post
then there is something crazy wrong with you.
Little background... me and Momma Lambert went to high school together
and cheered for the Orange and Blue at Millville High School ;) Go Bolts!
My Junior year we competed at Nationals in Dallas.
It was an amazing experience and our squad was really close!
After high school Jamie and Deryk (also a Millville grad) got married and had three adorable babies.  She was in Cape May for her (equally wonderful) sister's wedding at a Victorian home in the heart of the town. They had the house for the rest of the weekend so we cashed in on all that the great location had to offer.

lovies

So here's what I learned about the Lambert kids.
Sam and Ella = Oil and Water but EVERYBODY loves Roxie!
She's easy to love.

Sam is all boy. That's actually what his family calls him.
Love that he choose to climb over the fence rather than walk through the gate two steps away.
And I am loving the grass stains
(probably because I don't do his wash) ;)
This is Ella. Ella is a ham and comes up with the most random thoughts and ideas. Plus she is sweet as pie.

And last but not least Roxie June. The girl said "peanut butter & jelly" and stole my heart.

simple math
So Jamie told me in the beginning of our shoot that they had one outfit change. Oh how my heart sang when each little and (less little) super hero made their way down the stairs.
fighting crime on the streets of Cape May
Above and beyond their own creativity, these peeps were up for anything. I said "arms up" out of nowhere and got this. All in and a rock on (actually it's a spidey web thing) either way it's the greatest.
Moments, Friends....Moments.
My instructions to the Little Lambs were to hang out in a "clump" in the background.
Instructions were poorly followed...

Then we headed into downtown Cape May for some highly anticipated ice cream.
Starting their Christmas lists early.
See? I told you you would want to be a part of this family.
Life is good (and hilarious) with the Lamberts.

Stay SWEET loves :)

Lil' Cupcake - Ava's 7 Month Session

I met Ava's mom and dad through a March of Dimes event that we both volunteer with. It's a fantastic event that is coming up again in November. If you are a foodie and want to support a great cause then the
March of Dimes Signature Chefs event is perfect!
Amazing food, fabulous live and silent auctions and wonderful people.
Click HERE for more information and tickets!

Back to Ava (because it's impossible to ignore that incredibly sweet face staring up at you, isn't it?)
Ava is a happy little lady and some how the perfect combination of laid back and incredibly active.
When this one starts walking watch out.

We decided to meet up in Fells Point for her session.
The weather was awesome and the "backdrops" were perfection.

 peek a boo
 agh! that face! love it!
and just when you think she can't look anymore adorable.... bam! sailor outfit in front of a tugboat.

chillin' like a (ridiculously adorable) villian

A is for Ava (and apparently tastes delicious)

Thanks to Ava's Mom and Grandmom
for a wonderful day with their sweet little girl :)

Stay SWEET, Cupcakes!

Senior Cupcake - Emily Class of 2012

As I have mentioned before I have expanded into Senior Pictures! And my first client was the ridiculously sweet Emily. I mean really, teen girls are supposed to be full of sass and angst, right?
Not even a smidgen of angst in this one. Love her.
(Also realizing that if per chance I photograph a senior boy he would probably prefer not being called a "Cupcake". How do you make cupcakes masculine? Thoughts?)

I have been wanting to try the "chair in the field" for quite awhile and loved how it worked out.

Probably my fave up close shot :)
She brought her iPad (RIP Mr. Jobs) because it is always with her.
So we had a little fun with her Graduation Year.

mud. puddle. love.

Thanks again Emily! Loved spending the day with you.
Rain or shine ;)

Stay SWEET peeps!

Fresh Out Of The Oven - Grayson

I headed down to photograph Grayson on what turned out to be a very dreary day. Torrential rain like you wouldn't believe outside... but inside everything was warm and fuzzy and wonderful. :)
Both of Grayson's parents went to Auburn University. War Eagle!
See? Warm, dry and cozy.

Ready for some football

Was trying to get everyone in focus but actually love how this one turned out.
These are Grayson's big brothers, Sam and Jack :)
sleep tight lil' bear

SWEET thoughts to you!
Next up my first Senior Session :)
